LIVELY BOOK FAMILY
In collaboration with Wilz Illustration, I created a series of infographics for the LJMU Aldham Robarts Library to transform empty wall spaces into something more engaging and useful. Together, we developed the idea of illustrating small book characters that doubled as signage, guiding visitors to different areas in the library. To tie the visuals together, we also designed a custom font that was tailored to the project, ensuring the text felt cohesive with the illustrations.
We were invited by the library to come by and evaluate the current space to see what we had to work with.
The main issue we ran into was that were lots of clear space, however the current signage they had was not effective.
Aldham Robarts Library is a university library so it is full of students of all ages. We recognised this factor and that is what led us to create these characters.
